Kicked for no reason

hello. About 2 minutes ago i attempted to join Z|R. the only players were both from .:G:. Clan, they were Pheniox and i think the other was Cerebral. the text i was met with upon entering the game was a vote to kick me. it passed instantly and i was banned for 35 minutes.

kory, hav u ever considered doing one of those percentage votes? i think it wouldve been alot of help here. thank you.

Memory, what you have just experienced was a server hijacking.

The .:G:. clan has been known to do that in the past, and for whatever reason they see no problem with it.  I know Vamprah checks these forums, so Vamp, I'ma suggest you reign your boys in before somebody kicks their ass.

(The only member of .:G:. clan I know to be courteous and respectful is Aspire.  So please, if you see him, don't take out your frustration with his clanmates on him.  He really is a top notch guy.)

EDIT:  Just to verify it was a hijacking and not a misunderstanding, I also just attempted to join.  I was met with a Kick Kaine - Vote passed, and now have a 35 minute ban.  If someone would please just put a longterm ban on most members of this clan, it would save a lot of trouble.  I know you've been having problems with .:G:. Datastream as well.

oh, im more pissed that i was kicked than at the clan. 35 minutes is a long time for me....

on the other hand, im more surprised at Pheniox, since i've seen him post here and played with him and he seemed like a reasonable person.

EDIT: Now I feel is an appropriate time to ask for votekick protection for both myself and Memory.  I generally won't complain/post when I get votekicked due to a hijacking (assuming it was just 2 ppl in the game anyway.)  This is a little different, since this clan has really been pissing me off as of late.

Yeah. People that abuse kickvotes to take over a public server for their own purposes are scum and I as well am pleased to remove them from doing it on ours.

Also, I posted over at the MG forums about this, I'm still not completely convinced they're the same person, but this deserves investigating.

Certainly, they were both representing .:G:. and until that group shows otherwise, their members should be banned, no matter how good of standing an individual member may hold.

overall, i think they were doing tryouts, because they do mention that they were doing stuff on the ZR server, cerebral posted it on file shares, look at it
mostly I think they didnt want random people joining in, and I will tell them next time, not to do that

there is no reason to kick the rest of us, and I would rather no argue over this, I will make a post on our forums warning everyone to be less rash next time

I am extremely sorry for what I and Cerebral did.  It was unethical and a disgrace to myself, the .:G:. Clan, and to the tremulous community.  I take full responsibility for mine and Cerebral's actions.  I also fully accept the punishment of a permanent ban.  I realize now what I did was extremely wrong.  However, this does not mean that all .:G:. members should be banned.  I guarantee that you will NOT find shrimpy, vamp, madness, or players like them would be doing things like this.  I am NOT, by far, trying to plea my way out of the ban, nor am I just doing this because I was told to do so.  I do feel guilty and I am, truly sorry for what I did.  I will check your replies to this, and I will try to reply.  Have a nice night/day.

I, as leader of .:G:. clan, am extremely sorry that this occurred on your servers. I have just posted new directives to hold tryouts on other empty servers not frequented (AA, ZR, Pk, ::l, KOR, D*S, (since we don't have a permanent server yet). Do not let this incident bias your perception of us, and please accept my apologies.

sounds rather..... TOO serious, i would see it as a blatant attempt to get ban removed, but then again i have vengeful thought on my mind  .
